Me too and I found less than 10 caches.

05/20/2015 at 10:10 pm #2039980Still haven’t been there but I saw in the paper that the hotel there is celebrating its centennial this summer.
Skip the hotel, too many ppl in an isolated and expensive spot, unless you are going to hike down to the lake. Take a picnic, spend the day and go back to Eugene or someplace else. Of course, that is only my opinion. I enjoyed the redwoods in northern CA more.

When I visited there we had quite the experience. It was our last day of our spontaneous drive across the country and we were tired. We thought we’d splurge on staying in the hotel since it was nearly 1 AM. Nope, the hotel was completely full so we had to go to the campground. We set up camp in the dark and it had such an eerie, creepy feeling, I don’t know why. We kept having to move to find a spot that had enough spot for a tent without snow (it was July, BTW). There were signs everywhere about bear and so I was freaked out. We woke up in the morning and just seeing it all in the light made me feel better about my surroundings. That campground had the worst mosquitoes I’d ever experienced.

Yes, sir.
05/21/2015 at 4:39 pm #2039997I went for a drive today and found another cache in my goal to clear out Menominee County in Michigan of all caches. I think I have 4 or 5 left to go, but it’s hard to tell, looking at the map which county a certain cache is on.
Hopefully in a couple months, I’ll have found every cache in Menominee County 🙂
05/21/2015 at 5:07 pm #2039998As of this weekend, I have found all the caches in Menominee County in Wisconsin. 😉

05/21/2015 at 5:32 pm #2039999Too funny. The map on the geocaching website doesn’t show the county lines, so it’s hard to tell which ones I have left near the county lines.
I’ll have to run a few PQ’s and import them into GSAK and hopefully GSAK will tell me which ones are in Menominee County.
