Made a quick trip to the twin cities today.

05/26/2015 at 8:06 am #2040104My mom and I visited Mr. little Guy’s house. I think we actually met him….but we can’t be sure. There was a sad note there when I visited….a little boy wanted to know why his daddy was so mad all the time. 🙁

in the garage.
05/26/2015 at 9:48 am #2040107We have a mess of ammo cans in the garage.
Trekkin’ is making most of our listings PMO now. After yesterday, when it seems some newbs actually walked off with some of our caches and won’t respond to emails….he had enough. I know it won’t fix every problem we’ve been experiencing, but might cut down on some of them. He’s been pushing to do this for quite some time and I said no, because I don’t want to be “exclusive,” but it has been a lot of work to maintain stuff since these phone apps appeared. Sigh.

05/26/2015 at 1:24 pm #2040115That’s awful, Birdin’! 😡 And those same noobs would have walked off with the containers for your EarthCaches, too…. if only they could have found them! 😉 🙄 (And then they would have slapped NAs on those ECs because the containers were “missing”.)
05/26/2015 at 1:57 pm #2040116He did a bit of backsliding and left the PMO on the most troublesome of ours only. Which, sadly, are also ones that should be accessible for new players, but it was that or archive the whole lot. Just how many times should we have to replace/check things that have stayed in place for years until now???? Bike trail caches, for the most part. A couple of our ECs are also problematic once the travel season begins. People visit those spots, realize later there was an EC there and try to sneak them by without following through. We are happy to talk anyone through those situations if that happens, but just tell us instead of thinking we will let them have a pass. Oh well. I had an idea for some geoart, but I’m pretty much done with placing caches anymore. It’s like looking for one…when it isn’t fun anymore…we quit!
05/26/2015 at 3:24 pm #2040117Someone needs to spot a rare bird to make her happy!
05/26/2015 at 3:54 pm #2040118Plenty of rare birds being spotted, but every time I go to see them…they don’t show.
I did see a pair of Whooping Cranes when we tried going north the other day…I still need to submit my sighting, thanks for the reminder.
05/26/2015 at 5:10 pm #2040119This is bumming me out. I really want to place some new caches but finding the room has been tricky. I think I have a plan though.

05/26/2015 at 6:24 pm #2040122Well, I am beyond tired of cache things. Now we have someone whining about the geochecker. (Even though the puzzle really doesn’t need it). They gripe when there’s no checker. They gripe when there is. Plus, we have found other continuing monkey business going around.
Really. I’m about ready to move on. One does not need boxes to go explore. Well, Trekkin’ seems to, but I’d be so done with this if it was a solo account.

05/26/2015 at 7:13 pm #2040124Sometimes I have good feelings about caching, sometimes not. I was thinking of planning a caching trip somewhere soon, but then I thought… there’s so much more that needs doing around the house and yard. I just wish there were more unfound caches closer to us so that we could enjoy finding a few every so often without all the driving, kind of like it was when we first started out. It can be tough living in the middle of nowhere.
