The other good news (even better than the drop in the rainfall amounts predicted) is that Dad won’t have to have his nasty surgery until after our nephew’s wedding. The surgeon says he can wait. Yeah!

Good news about the wedding, not the surgery.

It will be different being an 8-4:30 pirate with a hour+ round trip commute a couple times a week.  I know I can do it.  Heck, I will be providing rum and other libation to the masses.  The older princess will be fine.  The younger princess is my worry.  She isn’t crazy about the idea of being under the reign of the older one.

I think the younger princess needs her own tasks and responsibilities, beholden only to the Captain and the Lady. When one of you comes home for the day, she can report on what was accomplished on her watch. The older princess can also get points docked for bossiness. And as you have always done, they each get special time as a single princess with Dad.

It’s a challenge to know just when siblings can be left to their own devices. Heck, my two are 25 and almost 29 and every time we see one, they’re ranting about the other! It’a amazing they’ve managed to share a house for as long as they have…Cooper is moving out in a few more days, so we hear. Probably a good thing.

The rain let up enough about an hour ago for us to go outside to check on things. We had an inch of rain in the rain gauge, and the mini terrorist was sitting in the middle of our flower bed, munching on a pink blossom. The rain has started up again, and I really don’t care what is happening to that baby bunny!

Hmmmm… With only 21 posts left until #5000, I don’t think Birdin’ will get that milestone post in the new drivel like she did in the original…. unless some page burning takes place. No wi-fi in the middle of nowhere, and I’m sure that is just fine with T&B!
