Does everyone have a D5 or T5 cache picked out for the next souvenir?
I suppose I could do Party Island though I don’t know why.

Like not spotting the FTP opportunity?
Honestly, I’m in so much pain right now, I don’t think I can count. Â I never did use those drugs when I broke my arm….this is worse. Â Where’d they go, anyway?

Same here, jar42, although it never occurred to me to do that one. đ River is up right now because they must have the gates open. More rain coming. There are a couple on the Chain near Waupaca that we haven’t done, and lots of D5 challenges, but those are a ways away. Maybe I should look at a D5 puzzle… đŻ
07/15/2015 at 9:12 pm #2041344Sorry you’re in pain trekkin’. No fun. That Goth Christmas is cheap – but it will work. Can’t argue with that. Maine and New Hampshire caches secured! 46 down and four to go. Not planning any trips to Alaska anytime soon – so it could be a few years.

07/15/2015 at 9:29 pm #2041345Any advice from expert paddlers out there? I am going canoeing for the first time and so far I have been told “Sunscreen” and “Hat”. Those are kind of givens for me. I meant advice specific to the water sport. It is a four-hour paddle. I suspect I will be sore later. Best clothes to wear? Important things not to forget?
07/15/2015 at 9:51 pm #2041346If you have those quick dry nylon pants, they’re nice if you get wet. Â Mine zip off, too. Â They’re butt ugly, but they work. Â Water shoes. Like the Keen H2 type, are nice as well. Even though we do a lot of paddling, we keep it simple.
Most of all…have fun!

Shorts and aqua shoes make getting in and out of the canoe easier (more options). Just don’t forget to put sunscreen on your legs and feet. Mr. S got quite pink in some spots from when he was out fishing a few hours on Monday. Take water to drink. Shift your positions every so often, both sitting and paddling. Sunglasses.
We aren’t expert paddlers, but we have over twenty years experience of tame canoeing.

Where are you paddling?
