08/04/2015 at 8:11 am #2041897Car–I had an oil change a month ago and have driven about 1000 miles and now my change oil soon light is coming on. Could this be something simple like a sensor or something catastrophic like I don’t even want to imagine?
Debbie- this is easily done from Home, too.
Basic instructions:
- Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position. Do not start the engine.
- Press the accelerator pedal completely to the floor slowly three times within a 10-second span.
- Turn the ignition switch to the “OFF” position.
- Turn the ignition switch to the “ON” position again. The oil light should be off. If the oil light is still illuminated, repeat the previous steps.
It could be possible that your vehicle is slightly different but my guess is it won’t be otherwise all the Oil Change places would have to know all the different methods.
sounds like the instructions I got from TracFone when trying to get my daughter’s phone activated. Especially the REPEAT part…
Still doesn’t work and I added her to my AT&T instead.Disclaimer : Always answering to a higher power.

08/04/2015 at 10:14 am #2041899Heading to Minneapolis a little later today. Not for fun, but I’ve got some things to do if I get a chance to break up the boredom. Supposedly I can get online at my parents’ place, so we shall see!
