I took my mom up to Milaca to visit her best friend of like 55 years today. They used to live across the street from us. She goes up with other friends to visit a few times each year. Her daughter, who was a childhood playmate until we went different directions in junior high, lives on the same site. We all had lunch. Who would think Jean and I would one day be comparing grandkids, back in the day when we posed together for our “first day of kindergarten” photo?

Boy, is it overcast this morning in Minneapolis. Not sure if there’s rain in the forecast, though. Maybe I should take advantage of the quiet morning to try and locate a letterbox in a spot where it’s always busy. I really don’t like urban caching! Thank goodness for parks and reserves!
