      Big couple of days.
Got the ? and summer souvenir yesterday. Got the one today. Finally got to Vitreous GC11E

Found enough along the 10 hours of caching to get past 1000 (I told my wife it would be 8 hours, oops).

ALMOST destroyed the car several times again today. see log for Vitreous

I was following behind a couple of cachers from Poland, one from Germany and another from Norway (behind by a couple of days) because they were going to Project APE and the Block Party. It’s amazing how many people are making their way through this area to get there!

Well, find #1000 was really a DNF – with a cache replacement as directed in advance by the CO. So many caches out here are not maintained or placed by people hours from where they live. This one was by a CO that lives (in Wisconsin terms) Green Bay while the cache is in Rhinelander. Why?

Just missed having Vitreous as #1000. Too many DNFs today, and this past week. Oh well.

Just saw a message that a cacher will be trying Wet Maze 2.300 with a kid on their back. That should be an interesting log!

I found caches the last two days……..I am feeling like a pirate today.  I need to write some logs and I needed some music.  Football, Golf, Logging, and cooking some fresh bratwurst I procured from Held’s in Slinger while caching in their lot is on today’s list.

Congratulations on your 1K milestone, Noonan…quite the adventure you had getting to Vitreous! You need a Jeep out there. My “98 with 196,000 is for sale…barely broken in:)

            Barely broken? 🙂
Picked up a TB yesterday that had been at the WBCB ’12. I see Zuma! had it in Sally’s TB hotel (sic). Ecorangers K Spud and lagrac all had it at one point too.

Anyway, I’m digging through where some of these bugs have been, and I come across this several times where a major cacher in CA will be logging finds in California, then suddenly log a find in Nebraska, and then be back in California either the same or the next day. Always like that, BOOM in Nebraska to log a challenge cache find in the same trail of challenge caches and BOOM back in CA within 24 hours. Nothing in the logs about taking a trip to Nebraska. Sometimes something about taking a trip in an RV, but that must be some vehicle because it can make it all the way back to the same area he was caching in within a day. Sloppy logging? Inattentive CO on the challenge caches? Or, just the way some people play the game?

Found it. Sloppy logging two years after the fact. Which is sort of funny, because it took a trip to Nebraska before it was even activated! The bug has over 39,000 miles on it. Most of them are from “trips” to and from Nebraska that never took place 🙂

Then I have “Flossy the Travel Bug” that started in England with a goal to get to the Original Stash Plaque. It made a trip through SE Europe and Portugal. Made it to the US, even to Oregon! Picked up by someone that lives “30 minutes from the plaque”! They took it to last year’s Going APE, Block Party and GC HQ. It never got to the Plaque. I picked it up yesterday in SE Oregon, just across the border. I’d be so pissed if I was the owner.
