Drizzly and foggy, but cooler today here.  Still muggy, though.

21 stage multi cache that has not been found since 10/31/2014.

Yes, it was a good way to celebrate Labor Day.  It is still hot and sticky here.  I might go to the pool  ’til the rains come.

Is there a class somewhere for remedial little girl hairstyling?

Our granddaughter was just here and fussing over some flower hair thing.  My son gave up in frustration, I offered to help and he said…”Like you can do any better with that stuff?”

He knows that isn’t my forte.

I was eight when my younger sister was born. My grandma took care of my older sister and me while our mom was in the hospital (C-section) and my dad was at work. I wore my hair in braids at the time, so my grandma did her best to style it the same each morning, but she never got the braided part far enough down, so I went to school with a big hunks of braid-frizz below the rubberbands and bows.

It is not up to grandmas to know how to style hair in the current fashion. That’s for moms and dads (and friends and siblings and cousins and maybe aunties) to know. Your son needs to take that remedial hairstyling class, not you. Grandmas just need to be huggy and lovey and share what they do know. You don’t even need to know all the characters in “Frozen”. The grands will enjoy educating you on all things current.

If he really wants to know … lots of youtube posts depending on what she wants.  Your son could educate himself.  LOL

He’s actually done that.  This was some new weird hair thing she just HAD to have.  Between the two of us, we did something…strange.  All she cared was that she had it on…thank goodness.

Youtube has saved me many times when it comes to little girls hair.  Now, they do it themselves.

If he can’t figure out the new weird twist braid,  I suggest glitter hairspray.  A little sparkle cures the inability to create whatever hairstyle they want.

What weird twist braid?  He does know how to do regular braids.  Glitter is good, too.
