You can touch a ball twice in a row in volleyball (legally) if the first touch is a block or if a hard struck ball ricochets (rule on that one varies) or if you touch the ball simultaneously with another player of your team, you may both legally play the ball next.
Speaking of which, we are hosting a seeding match for the state tournament today. Our team won conference (undefeated) and we play the #2 team to determine which team is top/2nd seed for the state tournament. We look good, but the team we are playing took us to four games last week, the only real challenge we’ve had this year. They won the first game and played close games for the other three. The worst part (for me) was the fact that I was supervising an all-day JV tourney while our varsity played just a few miles down the road in this high stakes match.
