Question of the day from one of my students; “Who is John Wayne?”

I give them a trivia question each morning to get their brains warmed up. Today’s question was; “Who was born Marion Morrison?” Choices were A) John Wayne, B) Elton John, C) Larry King, or D) Woody Allen. Only one student knew who Elton John was, until I played a YouTube video of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”), and nobody knew The Duke. Several knew that Larry King was a talk show host. What is the world coming to?

You just have to let your students use their smart phones to look up the answers. No one uses their brains anymore.

What about the moonshine? Did you drink that also? Give Becket a hug for us. Tell him how lucky he is. We are seeing a lot of cats here on the streets fending for themselves. He does not realize how good he has it.
