Is there a different place to view the WGA racer results?
The views expressed here are that of myself only and do not necessarily represent that of the WGA board.
11/03/2015 at 2:58 pm #2044241No Saw Whet banding or GIFF movies for us this weekend. My aunt passed away last night and the memorial is Saturday in Duluth. I’m so glad I got up there a couple weeks back to see her. The cancer took her fast, which is probably a blessing. But it’s still sad. We were visiting my mom and dad (her brother) this weekend and they told me she had rallied a bit the other day and wanted to go for a drive around the city and up the shore. All the grandkids and most of us nephews and nieces (there was only one of those, me!) had made a visit. I think she was ready to go after that. She was at home with family.
Sorry to hear this, Gwyn. I lost two uncles and an aunt last year, all my mom’s siblings/-in-law. But like you, we were grateful for last visits and the last upswings (which gave us all false hope), but at least they were enjoying some of life in their last days.

11/03/2015 at 5:48 pm #2044244Jim, how about bringing in an LP record tomorrow and see if they can guess what it is.
Or a slide projector
Or a film projector
You could probably raid the schools AV department (Do they still have those?) and keep them entertained for weeks…

Or a typewriter….or dial telephone.
Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)

That’s fine. The coords imbedded are dummy ones, but I’d be interested in seeing what the results are for you and let me know what you think the D would be for this
The best sig is no sig.
11/03/2015 at 7:30 pm #2044252My math classroom has two walls worth of LPs (30+ on each wall), a dial telephone, a Vietnam era field telephone, and two slide rules. One day I’ll get my Apple IIes set up too.

One doesn’t have to do the puzzle to see the finished image. There is a little box on the lower left of a mountain and sun that shows the finished image when clicked. The image can also be enlarged to full size where the coords are easily read. If people don’t know this shortcut, then it could be quite the puzzle to complete. Of course, I’m on the puzzle site all the time, so I know this stuff. 😉 Unless there is a way to hide this feature…. maybe some other site?

I thought you taught math, this sounds like the history room.
11/03/2015 at 9:35 pm #2044256I taught history back in WI for 20 years. I got lucky and managed to get the one section of Government this year, so I have a little bit of my past with me again.
Back to the puzzle. I know there are caches where you solve the puzzle in order to get access to the coords. I haven’t seen any like that out here, but I know there were some in eastern MN and western WI. Can’t seem to find any, can someone point me there?
