Well, after about two months of thinking about it….
There’s a long form improv group in town. I read that they invite anyone to join them at their rehearsals, which makes sense. New blood gives them new angles to practice. When I was actively storytelling, the workshops and conferences I attended often had something on improv, which I really enjoyed, though it wasn’t my strongest suit.
So….I found the contact, emailed my interest and am waiting to hear back from the director of the troupe. At this point, I just want to play, but if my skills develop, performing would be a lot of fun. We’re actually going a local show on Saturday that has elements of improv.
