That other bird is still hanging around in S. Dakota, too.  The weather has improved and S Dak is a lot closer than the Rio Grande. Hmmm.

I received notification of a find on one of my caches yesterday by a deer hunter who noticed it while sitting nearby. He wrote a nice log, which I guess a person hunting has time for, unlike someone trying for another 100 finds on the day.

Checked his (her) profile on GC.com and found that he has been a cacher since the spring of 2008 but never found cache. Maybe he got registered with the site through a school presentation.

I removed a couple of stumps yesterday. First by digging, then by whacking with an axe, then by cutting with a sawzall w/pruning blade, then with a strap and ATV.

I now more fully appreciate our forefathers mastery of dynamite.

I got my deer today…without even having to leave the warmth and comfort of my living room. I mount deer antlers…one of my customers bartered his deer for the antler mount…nice big 8 point buck. I could get used to this kind of hunting:):):)

I did some roadside caching today.  Unfortunately, some previous cacher(s) mixed up the LABELED containers with their grab and drop method so it was a bit confusing.

Just Galesville. I generally won’t travel more than about 45-60 minutes from home to see some rare bird. I’ve been burned a couple times lately when traveling just a little further.

South Dakota is really tempting, though. Those birds are still there. Sigh.

Does that mean you went out and got another deer, or are you talking about cutting up the deer you already had and putting the meat in the freezer? Or was there a deal on pork chops or hamburger at the store?
