They’re pretty wired this evening. Putting them up might be a good thing!

Just got back from a little caching, a nice lunch, a little more caching and then (not enough) birding. Going out to do the latter tomorrow morning before we look for a Christmas tree to decorate, sans any twins!

Fun day….. Work, Xmas party with my father’s family, procured a conifer for the living room, and now a movie on the couch with the wife.

Good news: they accepted our offer!
Bad news: bank hasn’t given us the OK for the loan yet

Being unemployed for two years really messed with my credit rating. Two more months of paying bills would have made it good enough but the house is on the market now

That’s the edited version of my not nice reaction to a phone call I had with the loan officer this morning.

Now I have things figured out, 10 months too late.

We misread an email from Navient and thought we didn’t need to make payments for two months after renegotiating our loan repayment plan. The email was simply stating what the quarterly accrued interest was on the loan. It was very close to our new payment amount. So, we didn’t pay for two months. Those two months are now in the past 12 months and are keeping my credit score too low to qualify for a loan. My wife’s is fine, but they make their call based upon the average of the two middle credit scores for us. Stupid, stupid, stupid. This also explains why Navient was always so confused when I was talking to them about the grace period they had given me.

Oh, that is so frustrating! I swear, these places make things so confusing just to run scores down. Sad to hear this.
