–PRODUCT ALERT– I needed a new set of ice cleats because my old ones didn’t fit over the toe cap of my Keen waterproof boots. I’ve used DueNorth brand for years and found them to be very durable so I got a pair of DueNorth Everyday Pros because they have a molded toecap.

Do Not buy these. In one wearing 5 of the 12 cleats have broken off.  You get 2 spare cleats with each set, I don’t think that will be much help.

Team Dennis says he can get me a copy of the Hoopla files. Now, to get back to those Ranger Bot ones before heading to town.

We have Yak Traxx and they’ve worked out well for us. Thanks for the heads up!

We just got in from some nice blufftop hiking. Trekkin’s been trying to get something like that in everyday. Some days I go along. Others…not. Today I went along. Lots of owl sign at one spot but darned if I could find the source!

I hate when the puzzle picture wind up sideways or upside down after you create the puzzle.

Glad this one worked out! The two before it were off kilter. As was the one after it, unfortunately.

Don’t think that last picture will work on Drive.

Heading to town to drop off paperwork for loan and some shopping. Another winter storm warning today, so we’re going to try to beat the weather.

I have often wondered how Yak Traxx worked. It seemed to me that the steel wire would just slide on ice but it must not. With the Due North the spikes dig into the ice. At least until now that they have cheapened the spikes so that they break off.

The spikes would have some appeal, but we’ve used the Yaks on lots of icy trails. In fact, the time I broke my arm, I had been hiking all over hilly icy trails with them. Only reason I fell was it was a park and grab and I didn’t think I needed them to walk 50 feet.

    Learned my lesson!

Both hats are done now, except for the little bows.  Trying to decide if I want to search my stash again or just bite the bullet and head out into shopping madness.

They turned out cute.  I suppose I’d better work on winter outerwear for those dolls now.

We use ice fishing cleats. Got them from Fleet Farm. They work great and have never had one slip off. I think the brand is Hi-Tech. It’s a Wisconsin ice fishing equipment manufacturer.
