Me? I’m trying to follow an “online time diet!” With sometimes marginal success. I need to go start tonight’s crockpot soup before it gets much later.

I just got a new I phone and it’s just as dumb as the old Motorola ‘dumb phone’.

I have not set up the voicemail yet so I clicked on voicemail and got the message “To retrieve a voicemail first set a password and greeting”, under that is a box saying “set up now”.

I’ve clicked that box more times than I care to count and nothing happens, not sure why it’s there.

We’re sticking with our slider dumb phone. That’s challenging enough for me.

We’re having an overnight guest. Pooh’s Pal’s dad turns 26 today and they asked if he could spend the night. I guess nothing fancy, just dinner out and a night at home. We’ve got this!

I switched to Consumer Cellular and cut my phone bill by 2/3. I decided to stick some of the savings back into the high end phone.

SL, have you done the whole Blueridge Parkway?

Blue Ridge Parkway? In Virginia? Or do you mean Trail Ridge Road in RMNP?

The latter one we have taken to the visitor’s center at the top and back several times. Never went all the way across until our last visit. They always tell you to make sure of the weather when you go all the way to the west side because storms could come up that could close the pass and the road, and the roundabout way back east is several hours and many many miles longer.

The one in Virginia and North Carolina.  Phil is planning trips since it is too cold to play outside.  He’s got the RMNP one planned and reservations made.  Comfort Inn in Estes Park was filled so we are going to stay at Nicky’s Resort.

Did I ever mention the Blue Ridge Parkway here? We did some of it in VA in 1989 and just a small bit in NC in 2002, We did a lot of the Natchez Trace Parkway in AL and MS in 2013. All the parkways have limited on-off spots, and the speed limit is only 45, so you don’t make any time. Don’t remember a whole lot about the Blue Ridge Parkway.
