We’ve actually enjoyed the less is more approach as well. When we do get out, we’re fairly selective now. There were a couple p/gs on the way to one of the ECs we stopped to check, but snow was an issue. The placer had them where they were so the finders could see cool things there, and we got to see them, so it’s good.
We’re excited about the Kickapoo Hiking Challenge. We’re hoping to hike the over 60 miles of trails there over this year. We get a patch or something and a chance for a free membership. *eye roll* Closer to home, and it is the aspect of caching we enjoy, anyway. Of course, there’s the trip to Yellowstone and Devils Tower, and in March we’re joining a bus trip to Cahokia Mounds and Ste. Genevieve MO. Tomorrow we have concert tickets and maybe we’ll go to the chili cook off, too! So much to do and you don’t have to drive 2 or more hours to do it all the time! Unless it’s a bird. There are two road trips I keep debating to see a couple cool ones!
