and a Hump Day F T P.
02/17/2016 at 9:05 am #2047059We haven’t gone caching all month, so with this warmer weather coming up, we were thinking about where we might want to look for a few containers in the wild. In doing so, we researched FOTDs in various directions, and my eye was caught by a new description of what is in the Mint Chip FOTD. It seems that instead of the usual thin flakes of chocolate that make this particular MC so yummy, the blue roof place is now using pieces of Hershey bars. I’m all for Hershey bars, but I’m not so sure about this change. Might have to do some research…

02/18/2016 at 9:26 am #2047067My head was throbbing and congested on Tuesday…thought I had come down with a nasty head cold. But yesterday and today have been a lot better…allergy related??? But what’s in the air at this time of year to cause that? Has anybody else had this issue?

02/18/2016 at 3:01 pm #2047069I have no contribution to the allergy question and I can’t relate to mint chip (I like all the weird flavors). But this is thread stealers, so here is my contribution to move the page along–It is National Drink Wine Day, the Powerball jackpot is getting to the point where more people go crazy on the ticket-buying, and I can’t get into the chiropractor today so it will have to wait until tomorrow 🙁 But on the lighter side (not in calories), this weekend I am making the Eagle Seven Layer Magic Cookie Bars. However, they apparently consider melted butter a layer, and that is just wrong. The butter combines with the graham cracker crumbs to form the crust, so now I have to come up with another item to keep it seven layers. Maybe I will add another kind of chip.
02/18/2016 at 4:11 pm #2047073what are the other layers? maybe we can suggest something that would complement

02/18/2016 at 5:26 pm #2047078Heath bar crumbles work. Butter Finger crumbs, too. Linda and Dante are experts on 7 layer bars. Hope that isn’t too useful for this thread!
02/18/2016 at 6:15 pm #2047079I, on the other hand, have not heard of this delicacy. You must share! 😉

I do believe I sampled their handiwork at your end-of-summer event last August, J&L. Very delish!

Same problem, I blame it on the allergens in the closed up house in the winter and dry heat. If you have pets as we do I think this stirs it up an you wake up in the AM all stuffed up. Hot shower in the morning and getting outside seems to help.
02/18/2016 at 10:21 pm #2047088Time for a first to post?
