Since I can’t see who’s lurking, I don’t know if this will be the FTP
11/23/2014 at 3:58 pm #2000840In the spirit of “out with the old and in with the new” (as in the drivel threads), Becky and I have decided that we won’t be having a blue cupcake event to celebrate our co-birthday this year. That would be the “out with the old”, but we haven’t decided what, if anything, will be the “in with the new”. You are now free to go about your holiday without wondering about when this event will be held. Feel free to eat a blue-frosted cupcake on December 27 in my “honor” and BC’s “honour” and to sing us “Happy Birthday” in the forums, though. 😉
11/23/2014 at 4:20 pm #2001002I don’t want to be one of those that complains about changes but I liked the other forums better. Much easier to navigate and see where the new and updated threads are. I like less clicks to accomplish the same thing.
I do like the look of the site better.
One of the wordpress sites I have on my server brought the whole thing to a stop because of a xmlrpc.php attack. It was creating server loads that were very high in turn that was causing services to fail. Putting the following in the .htaccess file was the solution.
<Files "xmlrpc.php"> Deny from all ErrorDocument 403 "Denied" </Files>
11/23/2014 at 4:34 pm #2001176A more permanent title would be nice.
I can probably do that.
I didn’t even notice the “Keymaster” title. Might have to change my avatar.
11/23/2014 at 4:48 pm #2001352I’m going to leave the board on “Squirrel Time” for a little while. I just changed it and my next post ended up in the middle of page 5.
11/23/2014 at 4:56 pm #2001409In addition to the time being GMT the date format is 23/11/2014 instead of 11/23/2014 in the event box on the index page. Those can be changed at wp-admin/options-general.php
The site is also not centered within my browser window.
^There are a couple links to examples above but they are not coming up.
Not trying to nitpick anything just letting you know my observations.

Move your browser window over.
Sorry Paul, and thanks. I saw the pics you linked to, so I see what you are saying. Looks like I need a bigger monitor. 🙂
I’ll also see why links aren’t displaying.Testing…
GEOCACHING.COMOh, I see… Your link didn’t have any text.

Yeah, that extra inserted post kind of messed with my FTP on this page… but I got it anyway, and it’s not like we’re keeping score or anything…
BTW, the craphas has disappeared from Sandland… for the moment.
11/23/2014 at 6:17 pm #2002052Craphas all gone here too. The pool next door is even clear of ice, still green though.
11/23/2014 at 6:19 pm #2002080They were links to images rather than pages so that may have had something to do with it. There were text that went along with them when I originally posted also.
11/23/2014 at 6:32 pm #2002290TBC, would it be easier for you to have a dedicated “punch list” thread where people could let you know the little (or big) things they are noticing as they explore the new website? That way you wouldn’t have to wade through the drivel to find the important stuff, and you could also see everything in one place so that you can prioritize what needs to be worked on.

Too “On Topic” for TS? 🙂
I thought I started one yesterday in General, but now I can’t find it. Might have just imagined it…11/23/2014 at 7:42 pm #2003126<div class=”d4p-bbt-quote-title”>sandlanders wrote:</div>
