I’m heading to Washington Island….& not even leaving the house. Discover Wisconsin has this as their destination on this week’s show.

Stavkirke! Not as grand as the palatial estate of Northwoods Tom… ( 😉 ) but pretty fancy in its own right.
We will be watching. Thanks for the heads-up, BC.

We did 6 of the 60 trail segments on the challenge sheet. Although the trails were either sloppy, icy or sometimes bare, it was a great way to spend the better part of the day.

    I sat on my couch.

The play and chaperone duties did not end until 2:00am.  Tonight, I am just chauffeur.  I do not know how the kids are going to perform tonight and tomorrow after the party last evening.

I’ve spent the last couple days in our “palatial estate” in the kitchen cooking.  BBQ ribs last night and homemade egg rolls tonight.  Makings of some good leftovers!  Wonder what I should make Sunday?

Still remember how to sign our name to a log sheet. Did that ten times today. Last time was on January 31. Went to Madison to enjoy some craphas-free caching. Can’t wait till we can do that around here again.

Looks like one Junco won’t be returning north. We caught a juvenile Cooper’s Hawk lunching under our trees. I think I might have captured a few nice photos, too.

I got a dozen today too in the Fox Valley…first ones this month. It was pretty sloppy but there was actually green grass around the base of many trees…a shot of hope, a glimmer of spring 🙂

          Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)
