Sorry. Doing other stuff today. I was out watching the comedy of every crow in LaCrosse county, it seemed, harrassing the many eagles below the spillway. Until the snow started and I couldn’t see much of anything anymore.

About an inch of craphas here, didn’t start until around 7 pm.

Monday we go back to work. Then 12 weeks later we are done.

We got three chicks and a baby turkey today. I didn’t know we were going to be buying them when I left for work today, but it’s a good change of pace for the family and to get us into the swing of country living.

Another FTF. A couple of new caches placed. Got the green light for a trip to place more caches along the Trail tomorrow morning. Just hope the weather holds off now…

Energetic this morning Jim. Wow. Afraid I was going to oversleep today and miss the BOD meeting. Not even close. Like the 5 weekdays, eyes flew open at 4:09. No going back to sleep today.

Looks like about 2- 2.5 inches of snow on grass and about .5 on the driveway. No shoveling!!!

Does anyone know where you can find the date you joined the WGA? There used to be a membership list that showed it.

Birdin’, it was an episode of Food Factory USA called “Texas State of Mind”, regarding businesses in Texas. Charter channel FYIHD (645) showing it again Tuesday at 12 pm.  Factory where Hangover Joe’s Git-R-Done Energy Drink must be where the EYE is.

Thanks Susan. It was at Navy Pier for a couple years before it came back for a bit of lasik near Sparta!

Mr. GT, I don’t know where that went. It used to show on our little box next to forum posts and it’s not there now. It’s not on our profile page, either.

I’m shot. We did some more hiking in the KVR, about six miles. Those of you who’ve been there know it’s never out and back on flat trails out there, and we found, to our dismay, that the trail we’d chosen to hike has been getting logged out. Ugly, ugly mess! Mud up to our knees! We kept thinking….it’ll get better. It didn’t. Plus the trail signs are all gone, so we went for about a mile the wrong way before realizing our mistake following a logging trail. We’ve hiked that trail before, but with all the trees gone, it looks completely different.

We’d hoped to do another trail segment, but navigating that slippery and sometimes icy mess was plenty enough for today. At least we got it done now, and on a day when the logging trucks were silent.

Took Bill to Wausau with us today. He had a good time at Petco, until he licked a little girl’s face.

You don’t have yours memorized??? 😯 January 18, 2008, for me.
(I saw it by my avatar on 19,500 posts in the old drivel before the new drivel took the date away.)
