Ouch! My tailbone is not happy from it’s sledding trip. 🙁

I’m going out for a date with my husband to a fancy restaurant. We haven’t had a date in probably half a year. It’s been a stressful couple of months, I’m looking forward to it. Oh, and we get to use a gift card Christmas present for part of it, so that’s a bonus!

That should make for a fun night, Becca. You guys have earned one like this!

Could’ve worn shorts today. Went 1-4 on finds but the one find was great! An old newspaper stand converted to a cache.
Had 25 finds logged on my hides while I was in town. Happens all the time, they come out here while we are there. Should have another dozen or so logs to be posted tonight.

That sounds like a fun cache, Noonan! I don’t know when I’ll ever finish logging all our finds from the past three days. We haven’t cached like this in probably a year or more.

My knee is reminding me of that fact, too. We figure we hiked close to 30 miles over these three days. Up the hill, down the hill, up the hill, down the hill. The ups are fine. The downs kill that knee. Good thing we have a stretch of not fun weather. Indoor yoga now for a few days should help soothe what aches!

I can’t sleep. I saw Wild tonight. It is snowing. Today is my wife’s birthday.

I used my pretend football winnings to buy her a Coach bag and wallet. I let the girls pick it out. Her sister is taking her to Chicago in a few weeks for a girls’ weekend.

What! She’s not going to find a few caches to celebrate? HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMY!

Gwyn, I know we both think that mass logging is lame but that is a lot of caches to keep straight in your mind. I like it when people write one really good log that covers all of their trip and then then cut and paste it into all of the caches found that day. That wouldn’t take TOO long.

Becca, We just can’t do the big generic log thing. I understand that it works for others, but we don’t want to go that way. I figure the cache owners put in effort to put these out, so I should reflect that effort if I can in thanks for that. That said….that A-Z trail down the road from the motel is going to get pretty ordinary logs!

We usually don’t have this problem. This trip was an anomoly.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Pirate! Last time I had any kind of girls’ trip is when Mrs. SL and I went to Door County this fall. Before that…..probably when I was in Newfoundland for a storytelling conference….in 2010!

I don’t care for those, especially if they show up on more than one of our hides. We don’t really need to know what your whole trip was, just the little slice of it that was when you found our cache and what your experience was there.

If you want to mention the trip in all the logs, just keep it short, like: “Found this cache as one of many we did while we were visiting the Dells area with family.” That way we know why you were in the area but we don’t have to read … It was so-and-so’s fifth birthday and the family really enjoyed their three days at Kalahari; had lots of laughs, lots of fun, found lots of caches. This one was #14 out of the 36 we found. TFTC

                Bleah. 🙄

“Found this cache as one of many we did while we were visiting the Dells area with family. We did this one on our second morning there before the kids got up. Had a nice walk in the woods to GZ. Saw a deer on our way back to the car. Cache is in good shape. Thanks for placing it for us to find, sandlanders!”

                ^^^ Now that wasn’t too hard…
