To each their own I suppose. But I’m not talking about a couple of sentences; I mean a really good, long log.

The really loooooong C&P logs are even more annoying. I don’t care how good they are… If the looooong part is all about every little last detail of their trip, even the stuff halfway across the country from us, I don’t need to see it repeated on every single cache log that they write.

Another annoying “covers it all” log is when they said what they did at *some* of the caches: “Replaced some logs, replaced some containers, DNFed a few, had some trouble finding some others, dropped some trackables in some (this was one of them)”…. How does that help anyone who follows know what exactly occurred at any one given cache? And as for that “this was one of them” part about the trackables… even that was a C&P, since it was on every cache log, and some of those hides were tiny micros…

I love reading good logs, but as a CO, I want to know what your experience was at our cache. Were things OK or do we have to go out and do some maintenance? A log telling us about adventures over the last three weeks, giving statistics for every type of hide you found or how many you found in each state, or that you visited Mount Rushmore when you were in South Dakota, while entertaining the FIRST time we read it, does not tell us anything about what is going on with that particular cache that we own. And ultimately, that is what is the most important to us as COs.

A-Z trail, is that the NATO series of P&G?

No, there’s a trail over along highway 36 in Stillwater of so-called letterbox hybrids. It published the end of October and has 91 finds already. We have stuff that’s been out for years and has…..30 finds. But….can’t really complain, cause…we found these. Waiting for dinner.

Some logs mentioned being there for the earlier series…maybe that was the NATO series? Most of my metro area caching has been on the western side of the Cities, since my family is in northeast Minneapolis. Other than Lake Elmo, we haven’t found much of anything along the St. Croix valley environs.

I am very happy right now.[I don’t want to pay weekend service call rates. It’s back to work tomorrow, and it would look pretty hokie if I took a sick day to sit at home and wait for the furnace guy.

I’m happy too. Maybe the temps will cancel school tomorrow Jim. Hope your knee feels better tomorrow, Birdin, and that you get your logs written. Becca, welcome back to a life with a bit more routine, even if dates don’t happen often. Happy birthday Mrs. BBG.

Stillwater is full of good caches and COs! Plus, having all the cachers in the Cities nearby, the letterboxes must attract them like chickens to our yard.
Oh, if we cancelled school, it would be because of heat. Highs are in the 50s. No wind chill warnings like Marinette right now. I laughed because I was wearing shorts outside while some of the logs I was getting for the first round of finds kept mentioning how cold it was!
I have yet to wear my winter coat. I wore gloves while caching twice. The first time I was hiding some and grabbed two right-hand gloves and didn’t realize it until I parked.
Yesterday I moved more bags of leaves to get ready to get rid of them. More night crawlers!
Now, this isn’t normal weather st all, but when it is January and the caching complaint is that the trail is muddy after the frost melts, I’m not complaining!

Thanks, definitely nice to not have to spend all my time house-hunting and job-hunting.

Just discovered there is another cacher in town, 45 finds since 07/11

They got FTF on one I placed today, plus went to my hotel. Same log for both (and most of their finds). Allow me to copy/paste it here:
