So, I can claim the CITO for picking up garbage here? I did…
We had attended at CITO in WRSP two years ago. Great time and some very interesting things! We’ll never forget coming back a couple hours later with the kids to show them some of the stuff that wasn’t picked up (too big) and a tree fell over as we were standing there. Not close to us or in our direction, but sure is something we talk about. We have a pair of quail that stop by our patio every morning and evening now. Can’t wait for little fuzz balls to start showing up with them!
Bald eagles are all over the place! The pair that lives behind us has been hunting squeaks across the road, and there is one that has taken to hunting the pasture and trees around the first house out of Bonanza. Everyday, I get a real treat because it is normally within 50′ of the road.
We have a relatively new cacher that has been placing caches around KF lately. Nothing special, and a few of the older cachers are grumpy because they had plans to use the spots for some fancier hides, but… I was searching for one a couple days ago with my wife. DNF. I texted a friend about it and still couldn’t find it. As I was getting back into the car to leave, he texted again and he said he was surprised I could get to the area because there had been a murder there the previous night.
The best sig is no sig.

04/25/2016 at 1:15 pm #204901252 people at our CITO event yesterday GC6AM7T. No new caches were placed for people to log, but they still came. Of course we had free food, complimentary cocktails, and paid them $15/hour… 😉
Braid Beards Gang posted what I think is the best picture of the day; I hope he posts it here!
04/25/2016 at 1:16 pm #2049013What to do, what to do? I’ve been missing my storytelling tribe and the conference is this weekend in Lake Geneva. I’m trying to decide if I should sign up to do just one workshop and enjoy some concerts and connecting with friends. I have to travel up to Minneapolis…again…for a couple days tomorrow, so that would be a lot of time on the road.
On the upside..I thought I’d thrown a weight on one of my wheels. Turns out there was a chunk of rubber on the inner side just flapping away. I needed new tires anyway…but don’t know if the budget could handle them AND storytelling fun in the same week. Sigh.

This One? This was taken with my iPhone. I left my DSLR at home, because it was raining when I left.
04/25/2016 at 3:55 pm #2049018Waiting for Hitman to come home from work so he can pick up the remains of a rabbit on our front porch. Two feet (not lucky for the rabbit) and some innards. Blood smeared around too. Either someone has it out for us or some animal didn’t want to eat in the rain.

That’s it! Great picture, showing a cache container, a Garmin, the beautiful Lake Michigan shoreline, and a full bag of what we came to pick up at the CITO!
