The hail storm was tough on our tulips. Β The kids playing volleyball in the yard did not help either.
Party tonight.
Museum tomorrow.
Sunday prepping for my annual geocaching high interest day fun on Friday. Β I bought a cryptex and a wireless battery operated doorbell. Β It should be fun.

04/30/2016 at 6:06 am #2049181FTP for Saturday and a 9 hour bump.
04/30/2016 at 5:27 pm #2049187I think we need a :bump:!
04/30/2016 at 7:22 pm #2049190This afternoon the CO detector in my house started to beep. I went to check and found the display reading ‘END’. This is something I’d been expecting for some time and have had it’s replacement up and operating since last fall.
The only thing I can’t figure out is why this didn’t start beeping at 2 am. as usual.
04/30/2016 at 7:30 pm #2049191Was it your nap time, jar42? π
04/30/2016 at 7:38 pm #2049192Maybe thats the connection.
04/30/2016 at 8:08 pm #2049193I should sleep well tonight. We hiked over 9 miles on the IAT up in Straight Lake today, and the eastern segment of that trail has hills to behold. We also met a couple along the trail who are volunteers and own adjacent land. In chatting with them, we learned that a significant chunk of their land will be transferred to the DNR to add to Straight Lake Park, and to the IAT, to allow land passage there.
04/30/2016 at 8:42 pm #2049195Some of the land we having been hiking on for the IAT recently is private land, and we are very grateful to the landowners who allow this for our use and enjoyment. There are also areas that have been recently rerouted to connecting road segments due to change of land ownership and/or the decision to no longer allow the IAT designation for their land. π
Our next hike will take us into the summer home and on the new segment that the Mobile Skills Crew (including ZB) built last fall. Even though Hartman Creek SP has plenty of trails, this will be dedicated IAT, and park hikers and bikers will have the other trails for general use. Any hikers in the park can still use the IAT, though.
04/30/2016 at 9:34 pm #2049197I’ll be sleeping well tonight, too. Hiked 13.3 miles on the Green Circle Trail in Stevens Point today with the Scouts.
All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.

Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)
05/01/2016 at 9:57 am #2049204Chaperoned one of the most boring Proms I have ever been to. They danced as a big blob in one corner of the dance floor almost all night. Hardly any “couples” and nothing that needed adult intervention.
We had 1 chaperone for every 6 kids – massive overkill.
No more days to fill on the calendar until the end of June.
The best sig is no sig.
