We have the mayfly hatch, usually in July.  It can get so bad, they have to get the plows out to clear the bridge.  They live one day.  Don’t even have a mouth…just the parts that allow them to procreate.  Like your lake flies, but bigger.

I got the Canon 18-135 with image stabilization.  My kit lenses have all bit the dust, so I replaced them with this.  My other lens is the Canon 100-400 with IS.  I have an older big lens…..Sigma maybe?….I should try to sell.

Campers, have fun.  We’re doing this rummage sale.  I hope we survive it.

So…last I looked, both our son and us had each taken in around 30 bucks.  Not enough big stuff is moving, but the rains are shortly. 🙁

Found a tick on me this morning. Embedded but dead.

Either my immune system has developed to the point that it kills ticks or the permethrin spray on my jeans from last summer is still somewhat effective. I’m thinking the latter.

Last year, I had a number of caches I skipped in Door County, on the east side. because of the lake flies.  Just couldn’t make myself get out of the car even though I know they are harmless.

We’ve gone over a hundred in sales, pretty evenly split between our son and us.

now it’s raining. And cold. I think we should just quit for the day.
