Boomers but no rain … yet!
05/25/2016 at 4:04 pm #2049847Sunny and in the eighties here
05/25/2016 at 5:01 pm #2049852Just a bit before 4:00 this afternoon…

05/25/2016 at 5:12 pm #2049853Hope things are OK in East Sandland and on the Wild Side. Looks like the summer home is under the gun now.
05/25/2016 at 6:26 pm #2049861I saw no ice droplets in East Sandland. We did get wind and much rain. I was almost at the end of a long download from my slow internet when the connection dropped. I restarted the download again and the internet cut out after another half hour. Another restart and the download is now set to run deep into the night.
Not much else going on around here anyway.
05/25/2016 at 6:58 pm #2049863We only had enough rain here to get the ground wet. The sun is out and it is all dry again now.
05/25/2016 at 7:03 pm #2049864I was checking out the scanner hobby page on the Book of Faces to see weather updates, and I saw this post:

😆
I believe GC4GPPY, the easier of the two caches in that area, would be the object of their search. 😉
05/25/2016 at 7:06 pm #2049865Finally a soaking rain in the Valley! No hail, barely a few rumbles and flashes.
05/25/2016 at 7:41 pm #2049868What a bummer. With another weather cell moving through, I decided to pause my download. When I resumed the download it restarted from the start, another two and a half hours down the tubes. Well I learned that I needn’t worry about trying to save any time. If this thing finishes tonight ok, if it’s in the morning, thats ok too.
05/25/2016 at 10:09 pm #2049877Storms training here since around 4:30 pm. Didn’t have enough, now too much!
05/25/2016 at 10:43 pm #2049884We have had occasional cloudbursts, some with thunder, but then blue skies. Some rain, not enough. These storms often peel north and south around the blufflands here…..which was just fine, because I was able to go see life bird 304 tonight and stay dry. I hope to go back tomorrow with more daylight to get better photos. Birding friend’s yard is hosting a bird of the southern borderlands. Last year she had a Northern Mockingbird. It’s always fun to see birding friends at these little local stakeouts!
05/26/2016 at 12:55 am #2049885FTP for a damp Thursday morning.
05/26/2016 at 2:27 pm #2049895We found our fourth cache for the month today. We aren’t likely to find any more before June, but I suppose it could happen.
05/26/2016 at 2:42 pm #2049896Got shuffled to a new resident at the Marshfield Clinic today. He’s going over my history and asking questions. He asks what I do for a living.
“I’m a teacher.”
“Oh, what do you teach?”
“Fifth-grade science.”
“Oh, you’re a science teacher. How many children?”
“Sixty-five.”
He stares at me incredulously.
“Oh, you mean MY children. I thought you were asking how many students I had.”
