Peony people.  I may not be there.  My parents are getting a roof on Monday.  The contractor delivered the supplies yesterday and they were stolen last evening.  I am dealing with the contractor and police this morning.

I knew a contracter that stole his own stuff for the insurance money. A lot of investigating goes into construction theft. Good luck on this unfortunate occurance.

I had a fun morning, sarcasm.  MPD Officer Pfau was a nice enough gentleman.

All of the proper reports are filed.  The contractor’s hands are tied until Monday.

Ugh, what a mess, BBG!

I spent four hours hiking the Experimental Forest, trying to confirm more breeding birds for my atlas block. I managed a measly four more. Leaves, leaves, leaves! It’s a jungle! Plus, many of the birds I know are breeding out there are ground nesters. I don’t want to get off trail and step on some eggs. And I have had two tantalizing ones out there that could be first in the county….if I could ever find them building a nest or carrying food or something like that.

Fun way to spend a good part of my day. Two tiny ticks. I did the geek thing, head scarf, pants inside socks. One was on the cuff of the sock, and another…I don’t know how it got there. Maybe fell down my neck inside my shirt.
