This morning the woodpeckers are making much more noise at the suet blocks than usual and this morning it fell to Daisy to try and quiet them – chase them away. She had about as much success as her sister but she makes a lot more noise mewing than Dolly so the noise thing is about a wash.

There was no crashing into the screen either so I guess she’s a bit smarter than Dolly also.

Noonan, talk to Lack yet about your big plans?

Sent a message through Geocaching, but no word back yet.

I did not get a message.  All I got was a friend request which I did accept.

Congrats J&L on the grandchild!  How fun.  I have a red-bellied woodpecker that hangs on the gutter and hammers away.  Not sure this is the best.  Need to get some suet out.  However, the orioles are flocking the grape jelly feeders and consuming in mass quantities.  I have to refill 2-3 times a day.  Looking to purchase stock in Welch’s – or find a cheaper outlet for grape jelly.  Suggestions?

Crossed this intersection today on a road segment of the Ice Age Trail in Waushara County, part of a total of 4.8 miles we hiked today.

I’m trying to figure how how these signs need to be punctuated, but one thing is for certain: NOBODY can stop BC! Happy co-half-birthday, Becky! 😀

On the way home I spotted jar42. Also some interesting wildlife from a distance, but nothing like a bear or a mountain lion.

We frequently have sightings of the wild and wily jar42 when we travel through East Sandland, but it’s mostly just his vehicle.

I usually read the Drivel messages on my phone but when I saw this one I HAD to check into the website to see what Pat was talking about. It was indeed a hoot to see this photo. Thanks for the laugh and Happy 6 month co-birthday to you as well Pat!!

    The official F T P for Tuesday.

Our son (Poohs Pal dad) and his SO are taking us and her parents out to eat tonight.  I don’t know if they have exciting news (like maybe legalizing this relationship) or if they’re just taking us to dinner.  They just got back from a music festival, where I guess people sometimes get married.

Probably just going out to eat.  No matter what…I don’t have to cook.

Ha ha, I went with veggie stir fry.  This was our “thank you” for having Poohs Pal, and Mark and Joanne’s for taking care of their pets and garden.  No announcements.

Hey reviewers, do you see anything wrong with this proposed event listing?

The snafu is the “Cache Dash” – I was planning on placing 20 temporary caches and the winner was the first to find them all.

The reviewer says you can’t have an event specifically to get cachers to look for caches.

Isn’t that what this organization does several times a year?

I asked for a clarification, and this is what I got while I was typing this:

Please note that the guidelines state that no cache shall serve as a precedent for another. Having a one day event to search for caches is not allowed under the guidelines.

<br style=”color: #4a4a4a; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 22px;” />Many other communities in Oregon have had a “kick off” event for a longer term “Geocoin” event, where people can search for a series of caches ANYTIME they wish to potentially earn a Geocoin. The event is an intro to the activity – rather than the search itself.<br style=”color: #4a4a4a; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 22px;” /><br style=”color: #4a4a4a; font-family: Arial, sans-serif; line-height: 22px;” />Your event appears to be time limited and only that one day.”

I think that clears things up, although I know that Roseburg (OR) has temporary caches as part of their Tour/Event – but I think they are all virtuals. Maybe I’m wrong because I never really had time to look for most of them while I was up there.

Sure. Now photobucket is down, so I can’t update the file on there to get things posted.
