2nd to post for this first day of the weekend.

Our backyard terrorist has brought a new terrorist into the world.  She is a watchful mother and her baby likes to sleep on our doormat.  We have to watch where we step when leaving the house now, because it has not learned to run when we open the door, yet.

Mushrooms are so weird.  We have five shiitakes that appeared overnight…and they’re big enough for meals already.

But that will have to wait, as we’re heading off to the Driftless Music Festival for the day.  Enjoy the weekend!

We decided to check out our black raspberry spot instead of the music festival…..tons of berries, all green yet!  Nothing even close to ripe!  We weren’t too far, so we stopped and visited Son the Elder for awhile.

So I shall be harvesting those mushrooms for supper tonight after all.
