Nine days? That’s NOT acceptable!
08/03/2016 at 4:01 am #2051072The Hump Day FTP.
08/03/2016 at 9:01 am #2051076Just got off the phone with the “Service Coordinator.” When I talked to her on Thursday she told me that the lead technician, Ricky, was taking a vacation day on Friday, so nothing could be done until Monday. She told me that she had blocked off Monday and Tuesday for him to do nothing but work on my truck. Today she told me that Ricky called in on Monday with a family emergency, and she had him working on some other vehicles that they had to get out on Tuesday. What happened to having two days blocked off just to work on my truck? I explained to her that this was unacceptable and that I expected Ricky to be working on my truck today and tomorrow if needed and that nothing else should take priority over that. Now, after 9 days, she weakly offered me a loaner vehicle, if she can “round one up.” Never going there again.

08/03/2016 at 10:46 am #2051077That does sound pretty terrible. Yes, emergencies happen, but then try to make arrangements so the person affected can at least get around till the work is done. 🙁
08/03/2016 at 7:11 pm #2051087Go over the service coordinator. Time to file a formal complaint with the dealer, Jim. That’s terrible service. I don’t understand how they can maintain a business like that!

08/03/2016 at 9:47 pm #2051090It just gets worse. They found the problem, a seized lift pin. Because the truck is under an extended warranty – 10 years unlimited mileage, engine and drive train – they have to send pictures to Chrysler. The pictures have to be very specific and the only person qualified to take the pictures, the shop foreman, is on vacation for the rest of the week. They gave me a 2016 Jeep Renegade with 2500 miles on it for a loaner. Going to do some WGA State Park Caches. Tomorrow is Wyalusing and Nelson-Dewey.

I am having fun with it. Yesterday I took a 450 mile trip to find 4 caches: Mill Bluff State Park, Wyalusing State Park, Nelson-Dewey State Park, and Belmont Mound State Park. Wyalusing and Nelson-Dewey also gave me two Delorme pages that I needed.
