Someone call Hermann Weyl
Oh yeah! He’s the guy that proved that the eigenvalues of the Laplacian in the compact domain are distributed according to the Weyl law.
Sure… go and make me look something up this late at night…

The keymaster learned from the participant. 🙂
01/08/2015 at 8:37 am #2033329I hear wormhole, I think of Hermann Weyl. He came up with the theory of wormholes, before they were called wormholes. I don’t know why that stays in the brain.
The kids thanked me for making them do their homework last night. About 50% of the local schools are closed today, their schools are open. I loved the e-mail I received at 4:48am this morning:
“I want to inform you that Wauwatosa Public Schools are open today–Thursday. Unless there is a warning for cold weather we plan to be open for classes. We currently are under an advisory for our area.
While some schools did report last evening that they were going to be closed we generally make closing decisions by 5:30 am on the day under consideration. Please plan on schools always being open unless you hear something officially from me or reported clearly on TV that we are not. At any time if a decision is made prior this timeline you will be notified.”I think the superintendent was a tad annoyed.
01/08/2015 at 8:46 am #2033330I got a couple of cache ideas, but where to hide them?
How about Waukesha?
Been there, done that, kind of difficult to do maintenance on from here. 😀

01/08/2015 at 8:52 am #2033331A reason to live a few more days……a Varied Thrush is visiting a feeder in Ettrick and the homeowner invites visitors. Not going today and probably not tomorrow. I’ve seen one before, but couldn’t get any photos. Hopefully I have better luck with this one when I go!

01/08/2015 at 6:44 pm #2033351I can fix that.
:13:01/08/2015 at 6:47 pm #2033353I kind of like the idea of the drivel having its very own wormhole. (which has not been fixed yet)
