Had the bedroom window cracked open last night…was awakened by the sound of pteradactyls in the marsh this morning. That’s what my wife calls the cranes. There’s some huge flocks forming now. And it sounded like the duck hunters were finding success too…I may need a nap later today.

Say t&b, in reference to your recent encounter with hostiles in the UP, I hope yesterdays game didn’t result in large quantities of cash changing hands.

Nope, we survived that one!  We were at the Home Brew Fest in Richland Center yesterday with some other cachers from Milwaukee, not doing any caching.  So we didn’t have to hear the outcome.

Today was supposed to be a day of house cleaning since there was no game to watch. Fell asleep on the couch instead, nap lasted about the length of a game.

Still got some stuff done afterwards. Snow showers off and on today, nothing that stuck around by us, and not what we’d call snow back in WI, but I think I see some white on top of the mountain.

Weather forecast calls for rain the next two days as well as two days during the second week of the month. That would be more days of rain than the rest of the year combined.

Tonight in sewing class, I was literally a thread stealer.  My bobbin decided to cannibalize itself, so I had to hijack someone else’s machine to finish the task.

Didn’t have to travel far to have a Bird on my Life list in Downtown Washburn – just across the street. Bob White Quail

It should be National Trucker Day – 10-4.

Linda, Are there game farms near you?  That’s really north for Bobwhite, but then again, it was really north for the Caracara, so you never know.  They are being reintroduced in far southeastern Minnesota.  I remember seeing them when I was little, but my last sighting was in Kansas.
