It seems my greatest asset as a Habitat volunteer is my lack of fear when it comes to working at roofline of a two story house on a ladder. I spent most of today at that elevation with an impact driver or staple gun.
10/27/2016 at 4:46 pm #20520792″ of rain here in East Sandland, with it came a lot of leaves. Tomorrow is supposed to be warmer and windy so I hope to see my leaves heading further East.
Leaves heading east would make my wife extremely happy. Unfortunately for us, our neighbors to the west are hoping for the same thing.

10/27/2016 at 4:51 pm #2052080Whoo hoo! Nurse Kratchitt is loading me up and taking me out to breakfast tomorrow morning 🙂 That’s what my wife refers to herself as but she’s been doing an admirable job…may have to offer to pay the tip.

10/27/2016 at 5:20 pm #2052081Survived my midday meeting. Went to the Work and Wellness Center for a random DOT drug screening.
That’s TWICE in 3 years, and my co-worker hasn’tbeen tested yet!
Looks like a big sweep, as I was 5th in line. All were county employees. One left before his tests were done. I’ll need to check the job postings to see what opened up!10/27/2016 at 5:56 pm #2052084Wow, many chapters in the thread stealers saga today…glad I tuned in!
10/28/2016 at 4:47 am #2052091FTP for Friday the 28th.
10/28/2016 at 9:51 am #2052097Ahhh! A good breakfast not of my making 🙂 And I talked my wife into stopping at City Hall on the way home to do the early voting thing. I watched long lines on tv in Green Bay already last night and I couldn’t foresee standing in one on election day. No such issue in Oconto…although they’ve already had 200 early votes cast. So does this mean my smart tv will screen out all the political crap?

10/28/2016 at 6:33 pm #2052098Looks like my birding life list is about to increase by a few. The board of the American Birding Association voted to include birds in Hawaii as part of the North American bird lists. Now I have to see if I can remember which ones I saw. There was one I just never IDed, and I didn’t get to see any endemics. They were all invasives. Most endemics have been driven out. 🙁
10/29/2016 at 2:10 am #2052099FTP for Saturday the 29th.
Getting a new “alarm clock” today!
10/29/2016 at 8:31 am #2052101How appropriate that it’s National Cat Day.
The Squirrel doesn’t like my cat emoji. 🙁
10/29/2016 at 11:27 am #2052103Our District Administrator is a fitness fanatic, so we have a staff fitness initiative. On our Staff Development (in-service) days we have a one-hour fitness time. Yesterday I used that time to do maintenance on some of my caches in the Mead Wildlife Area. Yep, I got paid to do cache maintenance 🙂
All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
10/29/2016 at 11:45 am #2052104So far this month I’ve trapped 20 mice in my garage. This morning’s was a bit different, it was black with a short tail, in other words a Vole. I have no idea what he thought he would find in there, kind of hard burrowing in a concrete floor.

Identity crisis?

10/29/2016 at 12:41 pm #2052106I suppose that could be, or maybe just dying to do what all the mice were dying to do.
