No craphas here yet. All errands have been run. Hunkered down with plans to make soup, read, watch movies, and watch the Packer game. No sense venturing out if I don’t need to.
12/10/2016 at 5:58 pm #2052653Well, it wasn’t supposed to start, and then only lightly till late tonight, but when Angelo and I got back outside from visiting Santa and Mrs. Claus around 2:30 or so, it was coming down pretty good and visibility was reduced. By the time Angelo’s parents were here for him around 5, they said the roads are getting bad. Glad we don’t have to go anywhere.

12/10/2016 at 8:19 pm #2052656Snow has been falling in Oshkosh for about an hour. Seared some bacon-wrapped chicken breasts on the grill and finished them up in the oven.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

12/10/2016 at 10:18 pm #2052657Total accumulation of 5-8 inches by tomorrow and warmer temps…sounds like the skis will need to head down to the backside of Vets Park tomorrow after church! Yippee!
Or maybe the fat bikes can head out. Or…maybe both!

I’d Rather Be Lost Geocaching, Than Found At Home!
12/11/2016 at 9:08 am #2052662A week or so ago I saw on TV, fat tire bikes crossing the ice between Bayfield and Madeline Island. I don’t know if it would possible to ride to any other islands but that looks like it would be a blast.
12/11/2016 at 12:06 pm #2052664I think they’ve added a fat tire race to the winter events up there. I know I’ve seen photos of those sea caves posted by bikers, and WAY less in the way of crowds. We’ll see what the season brings.

12/11/2016 at 10:39 pm #2052674Well that was a strange turn of events. Woke up Saturday morning and notice a bit of swelling in my tongue. Not thinking too much about it, I went out hunting for about 3 hours. By the time I, came in, my tongue had swollen to the point where it was affecting my speech. Went to Urgent Care, who sent me to ER. By this time my tongue was about 3 times its normal size. ER Doc put me on IV fluids and fresh frozen plasma and gave me shots of benadryl and steroids, then sent me upstairs for observation. Over night the swelling went down and my tongue returned to normal size.
