The wife and I are planning a “retreat” in Vegas this summer sans children.  Haven’t priced this one yet.  I am hoping to add Nevada, California, and Arizona.

We also have a summer “retreat” avec children in Chicago.   Grandma bought the Hamilton Tickets, so the expensive part is over.

I wish I could “sleep over”  at the shedd.  I really enjoy that place.

If you’re headed from Vegas to CA, you’ll probably be passing through Pahrump NV, where my sister recently moved.  We have about 100 smileys in Pahrump. 🙂  And they have a “Welcome to Pahrump” park & grab when passing through that town.  🙂 🙂

Well, the place with the horse/yoga retreat hasn’t responded to my inquiry I sent on the 4th.  So I don’t think I’ll be going there!

I remember going through Parumph on our way to Death Valley.  We commented there has to be a story behind the town name.

So for the first time in several years, we’ve decided not to go to Winter Fest at the Kickapoo Valley Reserve.   Usually we do the long ice cave hike and whatever else we have time to do.  It’s just too cold, and if we did the indoors stuff…people with cold and germs all over and we’re just getting over stuff ourselves.

So….instead we’re heading to LaCrosse and doing the Pearl Street Brewery Tour this afternoon.  We buy many of their products but haven’t actually visited where they come from!  Stay warm, everyone.

Pearl Street is on our short list for breweries this year.  Put two 6 packs in the fridge yesterday. If you bring in 10 of the cardboard 6 packs to the brewery, they give you a free growler fill

We live all of 10 miles from Pearl Street. Only time I’ve been there was to drop off some goodies I’d made for a storytelling fundraiser held there.  I wasn’t even able to stay for the event. Sad on all accounts!

We might have that many six pack boxes.  We’ve been saving them for when we brew and bottle our own

Staying on the big island. We’ve been to Oahu, Maui, and Kauai too but the big island is our favorite. Too bad Groundspeak doesn’t give out souvenirs for each island 🙂
