It has been 85 days since I have found cache.
01/31/2017 at 7:39 pm #2053501It’s been 13 days since I’ve found a cache, but I attempted one just four days ago.

01/31/2017 at 7:53 pm #2053502We are heading to the Nation’s first “State Park” area in late March. History lesson: Iron & Vilas Counties was (grammatically, it’s correct against my better judgement) the Nation’s first State Park. How cool is that in our own state?? Looking forward to being an escort in geocaching rather than a participant in a group. Have reservations made in St. Germain (our fishing haven) 🙂 Looking forward to a long weekend of caching; although the water will be calling me. Can you hear it? “rawevil, rawevil, where’s your fishing pole. Can you see me? I’m right here.”

02/01/2017 at 1:23 pm #2053510Where are you staying in St. Germain? Usually when we’re up that way, we’re staying with Timberline Echoes, but a couple years back, we stayed at a surprisingly nice motel right on 70, but far enough away it wasn’t noisy. And the restaurant next door was excellent! Have fun!
02/01/2017 at 1:25 pm #2053511So all this Star Trek viewing seems to have me exploring new worlds. Last night I had a lot of fun at our little song circle’s first gathering. Today my essential oils starter kit arrived. Looking forward to diving into that area, but it will have to wait, because tonight is my book club.
This is why we aren’t caching that much anymore, LOL Not a bad thing, though.

I would rather have been in a math class, but going to the dentist is good.

We have been staying at Bib’s Resort for many years. We have a yearly standing Labor Day week reservation. In March, we are staying in a different cabin than our normal one because it’s not a year round cabin (http://northwoodsvacationrentals.com/bibsresort1-grazians.html). We have witnessed the renovations of this cabin that is owned by a retired Fire Chief from Chicago. The Northwoods Pub & Grill is right on the property and we are friends with the owners. We have caught a majority of our muskies on that lake. This will strictly be a caching trip for us. We have most of the caches in the area but are hoping to hit the Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin Series in Rhinelander. Is it vacation time yet???

Looks like the series is still in pretty good shape. Just a warning, though, WoodcarverDan is pretty much out of the game. When he gets a DNF or a needs maintenance log, he usually archives the cache.

02/01/2017 at 9:35 pm #2053519Here is the archive log from one of his gadget caches:
“I’m archiving it because of a wet log”
This was after a NM log that said the log was too wet to sign. Interestingly, there are Found It logs for 6 months after he archived it. Wonder if it’s still there.
