Sending more craphas your way, jar42. Still coming down here.
03/01/2017 at 12:33 pm #2054101Arghh! Last day here and it’s raining…was hoping spring would welcome us back to WI…looks like there could be some yellow smilies still showing up in the snow.

03/01/2017 at 2:18 pm #2054102Well, it still looks better in Kona than it does in Wisconsin! Four inches of new craphas in Sandland, and it’s still coming down. However, it will be all over by the time you get back, bartrod, and you should be able to enjoy the upcoming “warm” weather that is expected.
03/01/2017 at 4:37 pm #2054103bartrod might still have time for a run to the top of Mauna Kea to help ease his transition back to WI………….. :-p

03/01/2017 at 5:42 pm #2054105Bartrod, if you have one of those overnight flights back to the mainland that leaves Kona like around 10:00 p.m., you still have time to catch one final sunset in paradise. This was taken near the Old Airport rec area just west of town when I took a break from watching my SIL and BIL play tennis there before we needed to check in for our flight. I found the nearby public access to the beach and snapped quite a few photos as the sun went down. Coords for the access entrance are approximately N 19˚ 38.459′ W 156˚ 00.311′ (parking nearby). Sunset this evening is 6:29 p.m. Aloha and safe travels!
03/01/2017 at 5:52 pm #2054106Well if Oshkosh only got 3.5″ of craphas, people must have piled everything in the parking lot on my Jeep. Count me in on the next plane out of here until the WGA Spring Campout!
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

03/01/2017 at 8:02 pm #2054114Yeah. I heard 2-4 inches. I shoveled that much craphas all 3 times today!
03/01/2017 at 8:55 pm #2054123HP2…the weather forecast was for 6-10 inches of snow for the top of the volcanoes…can’t get too far away from the stuff it seems.
Sandlanders…I played pickleball out at the old airport on Monday morning…quite the popular thing here. I also found the final to a puzzle cache out there one day 🙂 aOconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)

03/01/2017 at 9:32 pm #2054125FTF ALERT FOR BARTROD! This cache just published an hour ago within 5 miles of the airport. (might be the same CO that did the puzzle you mentioned grabbing?)
