The last time I said anything about the ides of March, the bomb squad blew up a geocache.

I wonder how many times that has happened.

So, I’ve jokingly told Trekkin’ that to fully understand this person I want to portray, I need to spend some time birding on horseback in New Mexico.  Amazingly enough, there are a couple dude ranches out there offering just that, and I didn’t think the rates were too bad.  So we shall see!  I’ve never been there.  Closest my travels have brought me to the southwest is Death Valley.

One place is 300 a night, and that includes food and the riding and all.  The other is 145 and the riding is an add on, bringing it close to the first depending on the ride I’d choose.  Way more reasonable than the yoga/riding retreats I was exploring earlier.  Heck, I can throw a mat down and do my own yoga.  Probably after a day in the saddle, I’ll have to!  Dreams are good.

This would be a great time of the year to go! There was a piece on the news recently that because of the rain they’ve had this winter, the desert is blooming like it hasn’t in years. Go for it!

Don’t know if I can do that this soon.  But I am looking into it!  It’s been about six years since I’ve flown anywhere.  What happened to all the cheap flight deals?????  I’d be flying into Albuquerque.

        FTP for St. Patrick’s Day!

        #2054346

St. Patrick’s Day morning, I look out at my driveway and I see it covered with something starting with ‘S’ and that doesn’t stand for shamrocks.

Actually its slush except on the more shaded parts, where its frozen slush.

I went out and scraped where I could, at least the ice underneath will go away sooner.

It will all be gone by the end of the weekend, one can only hope.  Maybe in time for my event on Tuesday in Green Bay.

Will there be new caches published? Door prizes for attendees?

Isn’t it enough that they get to hang out with me?  Okay, fine, the snow will be gone.  I think I went through all my cache containers trying to make you happy for the Solstice event and you go for them a good two weeks before.  I guess that will teach me how to work with the reviewers the next time I do something along those lines.  I can’t guarantee anything new unless the shop owner next door get his back end in gear to put together that cache he’s been talking about for the past year to put by his front door.  I won’t mention his name here, but his initials are Frizz.  I’ll also claim post number 13 for this page.
