I must be out of practice. I just wrote a new post on CITOs in the General forum, and I can’t see it there. It shows that mine was the most recent post in that forum, but it doesn’t show what I wrote. Can anyone see it?

Nope. It notes that you posted something there 10 minutes ago but there’s no post.
Oconto...the birthplace of western civilization:)
04/21/2017 at 9:48 pm #2054875Well, it was about how you don’t have to have events and souvenirs to CITO, just go out and do it year-round. Blah, blah, blah. Also, make sure to read the excellent article on garlic mustard on the home page by zeeman_clan. Thanks for the input, bartrod.
Mr. S will be helping clean up the outdoor bow range here (he does that every year), and I will probably be checking on the status of the garlic mustard at the entrance to our Trillium Trail cache. The last time we checked it was fairly weed-free. We worked with a couple of DNR people a few years ago to clear it, so they may have gone back to give that location some extra… um… attention. Perfect pulling time in Sandland right now. Some years it’s more into May.
04/21/2017 at 9:51 pm #2054877BTW, I’m thinking my new topic post went into some kind of new, more voracious wormhole. Or maybe there’s a problem with the space-time continuum.
04/21/2017 at 9:58 pm #2054879Maybe the topic that I started is in the same place as our WGASPS electronic art… 😯
04/22/2017 at 7:30 am #2054880Since you’re talking about CITOs….I had an alternative CITO idea. Not sure if it would work, but the local Habitat does a Neighbor Day every spring. I won’t be able to do it this year, but the premise is…people canvass a given neighborhood to see if folks who are elderly, disabled or just plain need some help would like a group to come do things like yard work or small home repairs. That could be the foundation of a type of CITO on a smaller scale. Maybe arrange a project or two with just a couple families. This would require cachers who can meet their commitment to attend, though. And who would stay the course and forgo a caching run, since stuff like this would take more than an hour or two.
04/23/2017 at 9:11 am #2054883FTP for the 23rd. Looks like another nice day!
04/23/2017 at 2:23 pm #2054884Had another Pileated show up today except today it was a female and she selected the large suet.
Don’t know if that says anything.
04/24/2017 at 8:15 am #2054887FTF for the 24th. What do you know about that.

Are you guys going to Mackinac again this year?
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Yes we’ll be there. We’ll be at the pre-event in Mackinaw City too. We got six more meeting us there too. Should be a fun time.

Looks like WGA Members will be invading the island 🙂 We will see you there!

04/24/2017 at 10:05 am #2054891Got my souvenir for pulling garlic mustard Saturday… but it’s not a piece of electronic art. Just got back from the clinic where they pulled a tick head from just below my armpit and sent me home with a dose of antibiotics. No good deed… 🙄
04/24/2017 at 11:19 am #2054892Just did a minor load of wash and threw in the cotton gloves I was using on Saturday. Put the washed throw rugs and rags into the dryer, but kept out the gloves to pull out the stickers that were in them. Got the first glove clean, then picked up the second one. A VERY LIVELY CRAWLING TICK ON IT! FRESH FROM THE DETERGENT WASH, RINSE, AND HIGH-SPIN END OF THE CYCLE! ALIVE! (Wonder how well that tick can swim in the swirly porcelain bowl he went for a ride in. Heck, he’ll probably return to bite us in our butts!)
😡 😡 😡 😡 😡
04/24/2017 at 11:20 am #2054893A hopefully tick-free FTP … 🙄
