What?! No FTP from the Campout this Saturday? Must be fantastic sleep-late weather!
05/20/2017 at 11:20 am #2055206I assume the graduation party that I will attend this afternoon at the village park/shelter will be just as cold and wet as a camping/caching shelter.
05/21/2017 at 7:17 am #2055207FTP for Pancake Sunday the 21st!
05/21/2017 at 11:15 am #2055208Saw a brief glimpse of sunlight while at the WGA Pancake Breakfast this morning.
All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
05/21/2017 at 5:00 pm #2055209You guys missed the Outdoor Wisconsin filming today! Had a group caching event. The camera crew asked if we could walk slower. Slower??? We were . . .
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

TNBL by the boat launch and one other one that I didn’t participate in but I believe it was a nano by the firewood.

05/22/2017 at 12:09 pm #2055213I just looked out the window and saw an Oriole and Indigo Bunting on one set of suet cakes and a Rose-breasted Grosbeak on another, no wonder I’m going through so many.
05/22/2017 at 10:39 pm #2055216Good Night
05/23/2017 at 7:08 am #2055217FTP 😉

05/23/2017 at 9:25 am #2055219Wonder if the WGA would consider adding a Michigan event to their Event List. It’s being hosted by WGA members, just not in Wisconsin.
05/23/2017 at 9:45 am #2055220Years ago I had an Oriole show up at my feeders, I promptly went and got an Oriole feeder and concentrate and put it out. Never saw the Oriole again. The next year the same thing happened again. I decided from then on I’d just ignore the Orioles when they showed up, they just leave the next day anyway.
This year is different the Orioles seem to be hanging around, also different this year is they’re eating off the regular menu.
05/23/2017 at 10:22 am #2055221Maybe they’re nest building nearby this year. They’ll disappear for awhile once that’s done, but I’ve heard if you put out mealworms, they’ll flock there once the kids arrive. (ha ha)
I’ve netted four new life birds in just about the same number of days. Feast or famine, I tell you! I’m four birds away from 200 for the year in Wisconsin, which isn’t that impressive. But I mainly bird around here or when traveling for other reasons, so not half bad. If I took a road trip to Horicon soon, I could add several new birds and easily go over the top.
But I won’t. Probably. Not.
05/23/2017 at 3:04 pm #2055222Ok, I will adopt this :ftp: that has been patiently waiting for an owner.
