I was gonna go on a maintenance run on a couple of my caches, but I only made it to the barber shop before it started raining.  The upside is that at least I still got my hair cut today.

You guys missed the Outdoor Wisconsin filming today! Had a group caching event. The camera crew asked if we could walk slower. Slower??? We were . . .

Was there ever any mention of when this may air?

It will air in January. They said they got some great footage. I will keep everyone updated on the site and on the FB page.

So which cache(s) did you take them to?

TNBL by the boat launch and one other one that I didn’t participate in but I believe it was a nano by the firewood.

Not only was the 2nd one by the firewood it’s name was Firewood

FTP for Thursday. Half-day of work for me, thanks to a broken tooth.

Wow! FTP twice this week? Must be the crazy weather we are having.

Yesterday while walking toward a cache I’d spotted and not paying attention to where I was stepping, I walked through an ant nest. The first step kicked the nest the next was on top of it, the next was recovering from an almost fall. I stopped and turned to see what I’d tripped over and was surprised to see ant all over the place but none on me. My jeans and shoes had both been treated with Permethrin and it appears that ants don’t like it any more than do the ticks.

So Trekkin’ bought a new “saws all” type power saw this morning.  Gets it home, opens the box and…..someone used it!  And broke it!  And packed it all up to be returned for a refund and put back out for sale!

It won’t go back on the shelves now.  And he asked to inspect the one he was getting to replace it.  On a slightly related matter….I’m back “at work” for the new Habitat build site next Thursday.  Lots of changes in personnel, so it will be interesting, but I enjoy it no matter what.

And really need my hot yoga practice the day after those days!

How will ensure that the saw doesn’t go back out?  I would definitely try to get a new one in exchange for it for sure!

Just got through taking some newbies to seek out a night cache. The adventure and teaching was amazing but the cache has been muggled except for the chain that kept it in place. So sad, but I am happy that I have enlightened a new generation of cachers and taught them how to log a cache.

With the forecast for rain tomorrow and Monday, I decided to pre-smoke the Memorial Day Brisket. We’re about 3 hours into a 17 hour smoke.

My brother got a pair of tickets for the Cubs/Cards game next Saturday. I suggested we spend Saturday night in Chicago and drive back on Sunday, but he wants to explore Milwaukee a bit so we’re going to spend the night there. Finally, my chance to find the Covert Cache.
