FTP for Tuesday after Memorial day . . .

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Let’s get posting people, almost 24 hours between posts is unacceptable.  So how was everyone’s long weekend?

We avoided (most) of the holiday madness by leaving Saturday morning, coming home Sunday afternoon and going somewhere no one goes….northwestern Iowa.  Though the Okoboji area was the exception to that.  Had an entertaining time doing two webcams the old school way, with sandlanders on the other end of the phone line at her computer.

Oh, oh, OH!  Mean Mary and a bunch of other cool musicians are playing the folk festival in Wautoma in July!!!!  Unless the weather is awful, I know where we’ll be.

I can start our countdown to Billy Joel in a couple days, too.  I think Trekkin’ got those tickets to make up for all the bluegrass stuff he’s wanted to see.  Nothing wrong with bluegrass, mind you, but variety is good.

We made a trip up ‘nort for the weekend and got to see cbiij, Wi.Hibiscus & Wi.Hi’s Guy, and Sweetlife.  We accomplished our goal of clearing out all of Mr. Greenthumb & Sunshine’s caches north of Fond du Lac/Sheboygan.  That gives us 470 MGT&SS finds, only 38 more to go, all within 40 miles from home.

MGT&SS caches – gotta collect them all!

I saw you also got the new Catwalk series in Townsend, it helps you were with the CO.  As of right now, those are my closest unfound caches to the Blue Ox.  I’ll get up that way this summer sometime, especially if I can hammer out a time with another cacher.

I actually felt it was safe to plant up the patio pots today.  Now back out front for more weeding.  Hoping the native plant people have a couple things I can add in there when I go to the farmers market in a couple days.

(Too much caching talk here). 😉

I can die a happy woman!  Just discovered one of the area yoga instructors is offering goat yoga here.  I’ve done paddleboard yoga, beer yoga and now I can do yoga with goats.

First session is the same day as Billy Joel at Lambeau.  Guess I’ll have to wait another week.

It was a rather breezy day out there today.  Being the 31st of the month, Baskin Robbins has scoops of ice cream for $1.50.  I went to the local one here in Green Bay, then I went off to the farmer’s market to look for some potato(e)s.

T&B, go check out the Mountain Bay Trail if you got time before or after the Billy Joel concert.  There are still some quality caches in Baird Creek as well.  Other than that, the caching in Green Bay has been going downhill lately.  I’ve been trying to change that, but sometimes I feel like an island unto myself.

I tried out my new ankle gaiters yesterday for the first time.  They rock.  Walked 11 miles in tall grass.  No more twigs, burrs, and leaves seeping in over the top of my hiking boots or sticking to my socks.  Nothing.  Not to mention no ticks are able to get up my pant legs.

Let me know when you are going. I’m on summer break.
