A few peonies are popping, but should be prime by the weekend of the 11th. Bartzella is still in bud, too!
06/01/2017 at 11:32 pm #2055296Need something to do tomorrow, besides clean the house, which my wife thinks I’m going to do.

06/02/2017 at 2:52 pm #2055298I saw you also got the new Catwalk series in Townsend, it helps you were with the CO. As of right now, those are my closest unfound caches to the Blue Ox. I’ll get up that way this summer sometime, especially if I can hammer out a time with another cacher.
Let me know when you are going. I’m on summer break.
I had actually talked to another cacher, but he’s known for sneaking off to places behind my back after talking to me. I won’t say his name here, but I’ll say that his initials are bartrod. Most weekends look good for me right now, as my mom has a seasonal spot at Maple Heights, which is known for having Babe the Blue Ox out front. That’s a tourist distraction up that way as you might imagine.

06/02/2017 at 9:24 pm #2055301Well, I personally don’t think it’s useless. I like to visit here to see what’s happening in the real world. We are more than just geocachers, we are people with lives, jobs, and goals. I am happy I can be a part of learning about everyone even if you break benches.
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

06/02/2017 at 11:02 pm #2055303In my humdrum life today, I was off of work (as usual since I only work about 2 days/week). So I made a few phone calls, emailed and facebooked a bit, edited a picture of my brother and sent it to him for his birthday, mailed out two pathtag trades, went to the post office and bought 100 more postage stamps, did two loads of laundry, did cache maintenance on three of our caches, had a dinner date with Kim, and then we saw the Agatha Christie play “And Then There Were None.”
Tomorrow (Saturday) we’re going to the zoo, followed by church in the evening. We don’t normally do church on a Saturday, but we plan on attending Sunday’s Cache Quest event GC756YA. Then Sunday evening we’re having another couple over for dinner and likely either a movie or games. This concludes our report of what’s happening in the real world for this weekend. We now return you to the regularly scheduled drivel.

06/03/2017 at 6:12 am #2055305FTP for a rumbly Saturday!
06/03/2017 at 9:12 am #2055306It’s raining, it’s pouring, the old man is snoring. I was gonna insert a random name for old man, but I think I’m already in the dog house with said cacher.

06/03/2017 at 10:13 am #2055307Iv’e got a great niece in the state track meet at La Crosse this weekend. I hope their weather is better than we’re getting here. She is on the Baraboo team and only a sophomore, I didn’t get to state until I was a senior. Kids these days are such show-offs.
