Shocked! How did you find this out Pat?
I remember well the morning we all met up at OshVegas and can’t believe how the world has changed.
That was a good day, CJ. And then you and I along with Mr. & Mrs. CTQ560 met up with him at the Mexican restaurant in Berlin a few months after Sharon had died. That was only two years ago… 🙁

John and I were Facebook friends. His family and friends and his special lady and her family have been posting on his page all morning. I still can’t believe it. He was so happy since he met Maggie.
So sad to hear this.
I am shocked to hear this. He was a nice guy and one of the first of the more “old guard” cachers we had the pleasure of meeting….not even in Wisconsin, but at one of the Midwest Geobashes we attended. Thanks for letting us all know. So sad.
Sad indeed.
So sorry to here about John. I had the pleasure of meeting Sharon & him at 1 of the Sweet Treat meet & greets. Both very nice & friendly people. My prayers going out to his family & his friends!!
I had met him a time or two but definitely didn’t know him well. But it was nice to see his TS’ers posts back when he was still active in here. How very sad for all who will miss him.

Wow! John drove all the way from Milwaukee the day after he retired to find my “Time on My Hands” cache GC3VT48. Very sad news indeed.

John was that kind of guy.
Here is a link to the arrangements that his son posted on Facebook:
