Looks like the Orly TB Hotel near Paris may have been muggled, putting a few WGA TB racers out of contention!

01/18/2015 at 1:08 pm #2033717Change of topic…..ha ha! I know the cool people were at the Janboree yesterday, but since we’re heading that direction next Saturday, we stayed close to home yesterday. A guy in town I know through storytelling started a program series two or three years back, called “The Old School Variety Show.” For one reason or another, we’ve never been able to get to one of these until last night. He’s got a great thing going….the venue was a small one in LaCrosse I’d never visited (and I thought I’d seen them all), and he creates his shows with all local talent. We heard some stories from the Dark LaCrosse Radio Tour and heard three great music acts. One was a guy who “knew my face,” but couldn’t place me. We worked together on a Chataqua program at the middle school….he did the music, I directed the storytelling (“boy, that was awhile back!”)….and he’s also been at many of the storytelling festivals. Nice to seem him onstage again.
Also, a fairly new group to the area knocked everyone’s socks back and we look forward to hearing them play again soon. Enjoying the show reminded me how much I enjoy performing and maybe I should do something about getting back into that scene. Or not.
01/18/2015 at 3:06 pm #2033720That completely stinks. That the Orly TB hotel got vandalized. Not fair. Boo.

01/18/2015 at 4:25 pm #2033721Trekkin and Birdin,
If the performance arts are something you truly enjoy you definitely should get back into them. If you’re unsure start out small and work your way back up. 🙂 Good luck on your adventures! If you were to get back into performing what would focus on?
Anyone should go for what they are passionate about, just stay safe about it. 🙂

It was the Orly Airport TB Hotel. The TB hotel at CDG is in a pretty secure spot. Would be hard for a muggle to find.

01/19/2015 at 8:26 am #2033732I was offered a job last week so I will soon be leaving the job I took a few months ago. I feel a little guilty about my short time there but not too much as they kind of misrepresented the job description and didn’t really need to hire me so everyone’s hours have been getting cut since my arrival. But I am so excited about my new job, it is just what I’ve wanted for several years now. Woop woop!

01/19/2015 at 9:16 am #2033739So are you going to tell us what the job is, or leave us in suspense?
