08/09/2017 at 3:50 pm #2055922Need to wait for the archives of the show to pop up to listen. We heard someone talking about caching on WPR years ago and that started us thinking about doing it. Glad to hear the WGA got back on the air, just wish it would’ve been with Larry Meiller, we still subscribe to his show through the podcast and listen all the time.
The best sig is no sig.
08/09/2017 at 4:26 pm #2055923We visited the Little Chute windmill today. Awesome. Fascinating. I told my co-worker, well, you know how the local saying goes…”If you ain’t Dutch, you ain’t much.” She told me she was a little German and a little Dutch. I told her she was a little much.

LOL 🙂 Good one!

08/09/2017 at 5:38 pm #2055924Oh man, I completely forgot to tune in to hear about caching on the radio. I’ll have to wait for the show to go into archive to hear it now.
The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

08/09/2017 at 10:23 pm #2055927I’ll bring this up when I get to Saint Louis to help my Where’s George friends understand what else I do online.

08/10/2017 at 7:11 am #2055929I always think it’s funny when my computer is waiting for cache when I boot it up in the morning . . .
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Yeah. 🙂 I wouldn’t have many finds if I had to wait for them. Patience…what’s that?
08/10/2017 at 11:24 am #2055932Plan is to do Copper Falls on Thursday, Big Bay on Friday, Amnicon and Pattison on Saturday. If I do it right, Pattison will be my last WGASP cache, my last DeLorme page, and #6000.
Wow, a trifecta!
Congratulations on a successful weekend completing your trifecta Big Jim!
08/10/2017 at 8:53 pm #2055933Greetings from Saint Louis. I made it in one piece even if my train was an hour late. That was due to a signal issue and a medical emergancy before we even got to Joliet. I had to have my ticket out right away when I boarded the train, and there it stayed at my seat even after I got off – oops. Thankfully it’s an e-ticket and I was able to print a new one off at the hotel. Big sigh of relief there. I need to double check the cache page of the Gateway Arch virtual to make sure the status is still under construction. Yes, it’s a lot easier that way, but I would almost feel cheated out of having to go through the museum if I just did the currently simplified version. If it is, I’ll consider running down that way to grab it before going off to Forest Park to grab some more caches over that way.

08/11/2017 at 12:16 am #2055937So I got my 25 coins by doing two caches in Saint Louis upon my arrival. Considering that one of them was the Gateway Arch virtual, I think my mission was accomplished there. Then I go into my hotel and end up in a game of LCR and end up winning $30 out of that game.
