Woke up yesterday morning with a big red bullseye on my chest…doctor gave me a two week supply of an antibiotic this morning. This is my second go around with Lymes. And it wasn’t even caching related. Oh ugh. Good luck. Trekkin’ is a three time survivor of that crap. It was only on the third infection that he showed the bullseye. Rotten ticks. I swear, they are not even useful in the natural world food chain. Well, except maybe for possums. Even those guys just eat them because they don’t want Lyme, either.
10/12/2017 at 1:03 pm #2056515By chance, I crossed paths with Mrs. WalkingAdventure and Mrs. Lacknothing. Nice to see caching friends I haven’t seen for a while. This reminds to mention: October is the unofficial homecoming month in the WGA forums. In person, by mail or phone, or by social media, invite cachers who no longer frequent the WGA forums to return and post something. They can reply to a thread or start their own, pose an insightful question or post useless drivel. It is good to hear from people again, even if they just say hi.
Very nicely said 🙂
I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Now what do we do about the state “bird”?

10/12/2017 at 4:55 pm #2056518The state bird? Yeah, the ones around here aren’t a whole lot better than the ticks…some carry encephalitis. We’ve avoided any of that, so maybe they aren’t as rampant with disease as these stupid ticks.

10/13/2017 at 8:16 am #2056523Our over 13 year old dog is failing fast and we think that time to say goodbye is pretty imminent. The worst part of pet ownership. 🙁
10/13/2017 at 6:14 pm #2056524I went on a maintenance run on one of my caches today because it hasn’t been found in a few months. I found out why when I got there, it had fallen from it’s perch into the foliage below. I put it back and hid it a little better and went on my way. I was hoping to drop a TB so I stopped off at a couple other caches in the same park. Maybe I’m going blind or my memory’s going, but I couldn’t locate either of the other caches. That TB will have to wait for another day.
The buck stops here. . .and gets entered into Where's George.

10/15/2017 at 9:21 am #2056527The Packers better win today, it’s only the Vikings.

10/15/2017 at 4:24 pm #2056528Say goodbye to the Packers’ season. Guess I’ll have more time for caching on weekends.
The best sig is no sig.
10/15/2017 at 7:00 pm #2056529I hate to admit it, but you’re right on that. I think it’s a very real possibility that the Packers’ playoff hopes are pretty much gone unless we can do something with a quarterback.
