What’s on everybody’s mind today?Ā  I’m holding off until NYE to find just one more cache to end the year with, and that will be the Lambeau Field virtual to end with milestone #3200.

Who hasn’t cached on Christmas day yet?Ā  I know I crossed that day off my calendar a few years back.

We started caching on Christmas Day in 2006

Don’t forget that nominations for 2018-2019 BOD begin THIS Sunday! Think of who you would like to represent you on the BOD, ask that person, and then nominate them if they are interested.

Not how I expected to spend this break between Christmas and NY.Ā  I’ve been in Minneapolis since Wednesday.Ā  Both parents admitted to the hospital late Tuesday night.Ā  Influenza and they had the shots.Ā  Mom got sprung last evening.Ā  Dad is not doing as well.Ā  So now I’m between the apartment with Mom and the hospital with Dad.Ā  So much fricking fun….not!Ā  I’m not sure how long I’ll be up here.

Not exactly the way one should be spending this time of year.Ā  Are you able to at least get in a cache or two while you’re there?

Tis the season…left my daughter’s on Tueday…got a text from her yesterday…of the five, four are on antibiotics today. She said she’d disinfect the house before we come back for New Year’s.

I know, everyone’s sick except me, I think.Ā  I’m not even thinking about looking for caches.Ā  It is cold and miserable out there, and just driving on these roads in traffic is as much as I care to experience the Minnesota cold right now.Ā  I have no desire to show I’m a “real geocacher” by going out in lousy weather, even for p/gs.Ā  Dad is apparently being discharged tomorrow, but he’s not always dealing in reality right now, which concerns me.Ā  It took a lot for my brother and me to convince him that the nurse is not one of the Obama daughters, for instance.Ā  Then the next moment, he’s right on track with his normal self.Ā  Sigh.Ā  Hope all my assorted friends and family out in Geocacheland get well soon!Ā  Thanks for the good vibes, too.Ā  Mom made a comment this morning that Trekkin’ and I are “stuck dealing with these elderly coots” and I responded that most people our age aren’t lucky enough to still have all their parents around.Ā  That gave her a moment’s pause.

Make sure they check for a UTI!! My Mom thought her nurse was a squirrel. It’s funny now but wasn’t then. Also, low CO2 levels may cause confusion as well. Speedy recovery for all!!
