I see that Bartrod is clearing up his calendar for the end of December with at least one non winter friendly cache today.

Thanks Dawn.Ā  Dad has lots of medical issues that can complicate matters, but those are great ideas.Ā  He is in renal failure and gets dialysis, but that’s been on schedule so things should be good with that, anyway.Ā  At least he thought his nurse was a person, not a critter.Ā  I hear you….one of those things we can laugh at later, but not when it’s happening.

Mom has the same thing and it’s amazing how one simple thing can wreak havoc on the rest of your body and mind!

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

Not how I expected to spend this break between Christmas and NY.Ā  I’ve been in Minneapolis since Wednesday.Ā  Both parents admitted to the hospital late Tuesday night.Ā  Influenza and they had the shots.Ā  Mom got sprung last evening.Ā  Dad is not doing as well.Ā  So now I’m between the apartment with Mom and the hospital with Dad.Ā  So much fricking fun….not!Ā  I’m not sure how long I’ll be up here.

Glad your dad is getting out of the hospital now too.Ā  Hope both of them get healthy soon.Ā  And you are so fortunate to still havae your parents with you.Ā  Enjoy every minute you can with them.

.Ā  Mom made a comment this morning that Trekkin’ and I are ā€œstuck dealing with these elderly cootsā€ and I responded that most people our age aren’t lucky enough to still have all their parents around.Ā  That gave her a moment’s pause.

Thanks Lois.Ā  I commented on how we are lucky, not “stuck” as Mom suggested this morning.Ā  She is 93 and Dad’s almost 90.Ā  Dick’s parents are close to Dad’s age.Ā  And so far, they all live in their own home (when they aren’t in a hospital).Ā  Very lucky indeed.

Closing out the year with a LCG bang!

Not sure about getting to any events for NYE and 1st.

In the past 5 years, the Packers have scored a total of 0 points in games I have attended. They also changed the hot dogs they serve at the games. They don’t score points at games I attend until after I eat a hot dog. They better get rid of those horrible new hot dogs for next year.

The best sig is no sig.

No, you had better stop attending the games.Ā  In fact, you had better stop going to Lambeau Field altogether after you find all the caches there and you’ll be in the good graces of the rest of Packerland.

I hear you birdin! My mom had another stroke on Thursday. This time she can’t utter a single word, among other issues. She is angry to be in this predicament when she “planned” on the end being very different. She’s 94. There are things I wish I was able to ask her but that won’t happen.

Is the GC website running slow for anyone else this morning?Ā  Thankfully I was able to download my Pocket Queries for the souvenirs.
